The square kept its form and specific features for over 100 years. That is the reason why the main features have been chosen to remain on the same spots they have always been. Therefore, neither the fountains nor the surrounding double alley are moved.
The proposed remodeling of the paving mark out the two main axis of the theatre and of the fountains, while they dissect areas, of general use in the center, and of specific use from the shops on the street. There was an effort for the proposed shapes and materials to express the conservable character of the square with a free pattern rendering (meander, central medals etc).
