Patras

Study in collaboration with Obermeyer Hellas Ltd.
As part of
planning at design stage on the wing of Building I, laboratories and faculty
offices of Members of the Hellenic Open University in Patras, the study team
investigated numerous alternatives to prior levels in order to achieve the best
proposal.
The main design
parameters were as follows:
The adaptation of
the building site and its integration
into the existing complex, the standardization
of construction, application of building program to other classrooms, offices and workshops involving 200 people and an auditorium.
So the proposal to underground the amphitheater and form the visiting patio by planting trees and arranging
sitting accommodation of the adjacent cafeteria was proclaimed.
